Limit switch contact
assemblies are used for "making" (closing) or "breaking"
(interrupting) electrical or pneumatic circuits in response to the position of the pointer
of the measuring instrument, i.e. pressure gauges or thermometers.
We have mechanical contacts (i.e. standard contacts, model S, and magnetic contacts, model
M), inductive limit switches (model I), electronic limit switches (model E) and pneumatic
limit switches (model P) in our supply programme.

Standard
contacts (= sliding contacts, our model S) and magnetic contacts (M) are mechanical limit
contacts for switching a nominal operation voltage of up to max. 250 V (AC or DC) and a breaking capacity of up to 10 W / 18 VA
(model S) respectively 30 W / 50 VA (model M). Depending on the model and size of the
measuring instrument, single, double, threefold or fourfold contacts are available,
compare data sheets with end number ...90, ...91 or
..19.. of the pressure gauges. |

Inductive
limit switches with slot initiators are proximity switches in two-wire technique according
to DIN60947-5-6 resp. NAMUR. They are intrinsically safe, EEx ib IIC T6 classified and
approved for applications in potentially explosion hazardous locations zone 1 and 2 by
using an appropriate relay unit. Depending on the model and size of the measuring
instrument, single, double or threefold limit switches are available
(compare data sheets with end number ...90, ...91
or ..19.. of the pressure gauges.), and fourfold limit switches upon request. |

Pneumatic
limit switches model P are provided with pneumatic slot proximity switches applying the
air-flow interrupting principle. A preamplifier transfers the low pressure signal into a
standard signal of 1.4 bar (P/P converter) resp. an electronic signal (P/E
converter).
Pneumatic limit switches are suitable for potentially explosion hazardous locations zone
0. They show a high switching precision and are relatively resistant against
vibration,
but because of their working principle they cannot be used for liquid filled
instruments.
Single and double switches are part of our supply program, but only for instruments with
nominal case sizes 100 (4"), 160 (6"), 96x96 (3.78"X3.78") or 144x144 (5.67"X5.67"), compare data sheets
with end number ...90, ...91 or ..19.. of the
pressure gauges. |
